Jay Roberts was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. He began his radio career in 1995 while attending college, followed by stops in Minneapolis including KEGE-FM, Zone 105 and the legendary classic rock station KQRS. After stints with a national radio network, Jay landed at stations in Traverse City, Madison and Milwaukee, WI before returning to Northern Michigan.

Jay has been happily married since 2001 and has two children. An exotic car enthusiast, Jay also enjoys fishing, hunting, and photographing/chasing tornadoes. Jay and his wife enjoy donating their time and support to organizations such as the Autism Society, Miracle League, Arthritis Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
